Through the woods to the shore

After a busy day of sorting out and finding homes for things (I have decided we have too many things; a declutter is on the cards soon), we had an evening stroll to the shore.  

Along the footpath through the woods ...

... down to the shore where the tide was right in ...

We were amazed to see a red squirrel running along the tree-line, so amazed that we weren't quick enough to get a photo but it was enough to have seen it so close.

And further around, the evening sun on the sea.  Peaceful, pretty and right on our doorstep.
