Now I can share some photos from the past few days.
Puddles everywhere

Still no trains running. There's scaffolding at the entrance to the tunnel, and a huge mound of debris piled up, just out of sight. I hadn't noticed before, but there are two plaques on the tunnel, one giving a date (of construction, I assume) of 1881, and the second states the tunnel is 396 feet in length.
We've been doing our best to finish up all the Christmas eats and treats - then we can't be tempted any more, right? The Christmas cake was truly delicious but rather calorific (thank goodness it's only once a year!) so that wasn't a hardship to have with a morning cuppa :-)
Still no news from the estate agents. We've now convinced ourselves this one has slipped through our fingers.
