Mulling things over

NOTE - Not sure why this ended up in Drafts rather than being published.  Written on Sunday.

The surveyor's report was emailed to us Friday afternoon.  Oh dear, it did not make easy reading.  Seeing all the faults listed in black and white was quite a shock to the system.  Needless to say, we went into a bit of a panic.

Now, having had a day to read it several times again, and give some careful thought to what it contains, we are able to get things into better perspective.  There were, however, a few surprises which we need to seek further guidance on next week.  One step at a time.

Whilst we were sat in the lounge window this afternoon, there was an almighty furore outside - a huge number of jackdaws suddenly flying around in alarm as a sparrowhawk flew through.  It caused a real panic for several minutes.  Later, on a walk into town, we caught sight of the peregrine falcons on the church spire, their feathery 'bloomers' quite visible to aid identification.
