Papers everywhere

We've spent the past couple of days swamped in paperwork - photocopying documents, gathering information and collating checklists.  It's just as well we've learned to keep records over the years and have a good filing system in place.  This has all been for an appointment with our solicitor today - we were armed with rather more papers than we needed, but we didn't want to be caught out with unexpected questions.  As it was, we had everything required, and were even complimented on our attention to detail!  So that's one more item we can tick off the 'house purchase' list.

We have a surveyor visiting the new property tomorrow.  It will be interested to see what comes up on his report.  Some things we are expecting, but there will probably be one or two surprises we hadn't bargained for.  Those sorts of surprises usually require money to sort out and put right - this project is going to need very careful managing to keep us on track with our budget.  There is a finite amount of funds available to us and we will need to be very careful.  It will be a challenge but one we're both up for.

Another successful day list-wise - everything achieved again, but lots more tasks already on the sheet for tomorrow.  I'm trying really hard to get as much done now before we complete on the new house as I know once that happens time for quilting and other such projects will be limited.

There was a really heavy frost last night, and a thick fog this morning but by late morning it had all cleared away to another clear blue sky.  A rest from the rain although I think there's probably more on the way.
