This was back in April - little seedlings being nurtured along in the greenhouse.
Once in the garden, they did their thing, climbing up the trellis.
N and I carefully picked these 34 pods -
split open the pods to reveal the peas inside. 108gm in total (yes, we have recorded the weight, and will continue to do so). These have been frozen but we will be eating some fresh later on.
The whole process - from sowing of the seeds to shelling - has brought us a huge amount of satisfaction. We may only have a small area in which to grow vegetables, but the pleasure and sense of achievement is worth a great deal. Organic veggies we have grown ourselves. That's got to be good.
